This gorilla sketch from Artist James Tony Litherland was created in Oklahoma. It is entitled “Far away, close inside,” which shows the gorilla yearning far away to a place in the rainforest. The separation is poignant in that the farms/mankind/civilization keep him imprisoned behind the bars of a zoo. Yet, the home he once knew is buried close inside.
